Q: What is your favorite Halloween costume? Even if you don’t celebrate, what kinds of costumes do you like?  

      I haven't celebrate Halloween, not even once, there's none of Halloween culture where I lived. But if I go, I shalt be clad as a smokin' hot vampire. Or try to, anyway, with smoky eyes, red lips, a pretty dress and heels, and of course, fangs. Vamps are always my fave, even the hideous ones.

“What is your favorite spooky book (i.e. mystery/suspense, thriller, ghost story, etc.)?”

     

     Does Lisey's Story (Stephen King) counts as a spooky book? Well, if it does, it certainly spooked me (don't tell anyone I said that). The concept is frightening, it kept me up thinking about death, writing, depression and monsters for quite some time. And any story from Stephen King couldn't be less than brilliant.

If authors in YA stopped writing : First I'll freak. Then I'll find other books in the likes of Dan    

                                                  Brown,  Stephen King and any books that interest me. Sorry YA, 

                                                  no means of betraying you but a girl has to read, right?

Highlight one book you have received this week (for review, from the library, purchased at the store, etc.) that you can’t wait to dig into!

      I just bought Divergent (Veronica Roth) and Bleeding Violet (Dia Reeves) this Monday. I really wanted to dive in those two, but I have a test in the next two weeks, so I shouldn't be reading books that are non-curricular. Yet, I still find myself reading Divergent until page 137. Must. Find. Will. To. Stop.

 How/Where do you get your books? Do you buy them or go to the library? Is there a certain website you use like paperbackswap?

      I usually buy my own books. Some I get them from the library(not much though, library's low on the stock) and borrowed the rest from my friends(you have no idea how many crazy stuff they wanted me to do while reading their book).

“What keeps you reading beyond the first few pages of a book, and what makes you want to stop reading a book and put it back on the shelf?“

Well, they just do. If you really need an answer, I would say action keeps me reading. Not battle scenes, but where the main character is finding out his/her problems and we could see future conflicts. And the language, of course. Hate boring scenes, extensive advises, cliches, too many smooches, slow pace and ridiculous characters(though I'd never read one so ridiculous I wanna put the book down).

“Who is the ONE author that you are DYING to meet?

There are tons of authors I'm dying to meet, however, I'm just gonna write one(and all hell broke lose). Eventually, I have to decide. And my answer is :

Stephen King. 

Yup. Not your average YA author but I'd read his books and he is great, one of the greatest storyteller of our time. I loved Lisey's story and would give anything to get inside his mind.

 "What book-to-movie adaption have you most liked?  Which have you disliked?"

For the movie I like, I have to say the Twilight Saga(I like True Blood better, but it's not a movie) and Harry Potters. They're awesome! Movies I dislike... None. But I remember watching movies such as The Last Song and Cirque Du Freak and saying how I like the books much better.

     Well, when I enjoy something I don't ever feel guilty. But if I have to name few, it would be watching movies, writing and playing my piano. I especially enjoyed watching Harry Potter, even if the book's much better.

If I've got the chance, I would put myself into :

1. L. J. Smith's Night World series  
Reason : Vampires, witches, shapeshifters, soulmates. In case you haven't notice, this blogger here loves  paranormal stuff.

2. Richelle Mead's Vampire Academy series 

Reason : Again, vampires. There could not be a better reason. And besides, who wouldn't want to meet fierce Rose and sweet Lissa. And you get to kick some Strigoi's bad ass.

Actually, I haven't found a book that has actually influenced me in a big way, but books like The Diary of Anne Frank and The Last Lecture had taught me to be grateful for life, for it is not lasting.

My answer : no. It's always very hard to find the first title, so I' d rather not read than have a story with no beginning.

This is my first time at  Book Blogger Hop . To answer the question : (Oct 22-25) " Where is your favorite place to read? Curled up on the sofa, in bed, in the garden?"

 I like to curl up on the sofa when I read. Sometimes I' ll even lie on the floor (but I will fall asleep when I do this).

To answer the question (Oct 29-Nov 1) "What is the one bookish thing you would love to have, no matter the cost?"
 I will kill (not really) to have a room where all the walls are filled with books, and a glass window on the top of the room so that I can stargaze when I'm done reading.
